Colombia coffee
1200–2000 m · picked October to December, with a second mitaca harvest in April to June · Arabica
Three Andean ranges give Colombia harvests nearly year round and a huge range of microclimates. Half a million families grow it, mostly on small farms that pick, pulp and wash their own coffee. The Federación's Juan Valdez made it the best-known origin in the world.

In the cup: Caramel sweetness, red apple, a round, balanced acidity. Huila and Nariño lots lean to tropical fruit.
Next to Indian coffee: The most familiar-tasting of the imports: balanced and sweet like a good Sakleshpur washed, with a little more acidity. The safe choice for a milk drink made from a foreign bean.
